Tom Öhler “High Alpine Camp”

RIDE THE DOLOMITES

The Trial World Champion in a short interview….

Trial or Trail?
There is no decision. The “life trail” without trial would definitely be boring! I’m just a real “Gemini.”

Most important basic when trial riding?
Balance! It is the basis for all trial techniques and, in my opinion, also for mountain biking. Without good balance, you lack the important basis for all other techniques.

Most important basic on the trail?
Didn’t we already have that question [grins]? Of course, balance, whether trial riding or on the trail!

Entry in the Guinness Book of Records, how did that happen?
The funny thing was that I didn’t even realize it myself at first. Someone sent me a message via Facebook and I immediately went to the bookstore to take a look and buy a copy.

We at Plose Bike have already done several camps with Tom Öhler and were thrilled every time. So we decided to offer a bike camp with the trial professional for you as well. Tom has achieved a lot in his career, whether as a trial world champion or entries in the Guinness Book of Records. His list is long. At the latest since the video “SEA OF ROCK” he is indispensable from the mountain bike scene. He feels most comfortable in high alpine terrain, where he can implement his techniques from trial sports on the mountain bike. Nevertheless, he also loves to shred the flowy trails and uses every little berm to let the bike take off. He will bring us closer to this and much more in a 2-day high alpine camp.
