CODE OF CONDUCT

FAIR PLAY

The Plose hiking and biking region offers over 400 km of marked hiking and biking trails. Some of these are reserved for hikers, some for bikers, and many are shared. For this reason, we kindly ask for mutual respect and considerate coexistence in our mountains.

Please follow these rules:

  • Always ride with a helmet and additional protective gear (including rain gear, spare tube, etc.)
  • Only ride a bike that is in perfect technical condition
  • Stay on marked trails and paths
  • Ride only as fast as you can safely stop at any time
  • Choose routes that match your skills and fitness level
  • Respect prohibition signs and information boards
  • Show consideration for other bikers & hikers
  • Yield to hikers on narrow trails
  • A friendly “hello” goes a long way for good coexistence
  • Close all gates and pasture fences
  • Respect and protect plants and animals
  • Do not leave any litter in nature
  • Avoid noise and unnecessary skid marks
  • Expect wild animals, farm animals, or livestock on the trails
  • Ride at walking speed in pedestrian zones
  • Forest roads are working areas – expect logs, cattle, or motor vehicles on the road

Many alpine meadows and forests are still actively farmed. We appeal to all bikers to respect the hard work of farmers by protecting meadows and forests. Especially during haymaking or when cattle are grazing, there is a significant risk of hidden or invisible hazards. Therefore: ride carefully.

Use of the facilities is at your own risk!

No liability is accepted for accidents. Instructions given by trail and cable car staff must be followed. When a trail is closed (signposted at the start area), riding is strictly prohibited. In case of non-compliance, the lift pass may be revoked.

Attention: Parts of the listed biking routes are on public roads. In these sections, the Italian traffic regulations apply.

RESPECT is every biker’s code of honor!
